The use of electronic technology and control theory in vehicles is greatly improved riding comfort and handling stability of vehicles. Most of these control systems are aimed to improving one performance of vehicle, but the improvement of the whole dynamics of vehicle depends on the cooperative work among various control systems. According to the fundamental principle of vehicle dynamics, this paper established a vehicle dynamics model of Active Suspension System (ASS) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Then the optimal control model of ASS and the fuzzy control model of ABS are established depended on each system. A coordination controller is designed to harmonize the influences of the ASS and ABS, and the integrated control of Active Suspension System and Anti-lock Braking System is achieved. The mechanical construction and control structure have interferences in the process of vehicle design. So it is necessary to simultaneously consider the choosing of the mechanical parameters and the design of control system. This paper carried out optimization design based on the integrated control of Active Suspension System and Anti-lock Braking System with Particle Swarm Optimization. The simulation results show that, the integrated controlled and optimized of Active Suspension System and Anti-lock Braking System could apparently improve riding comfort and handling stability of vehicle.
