By the characteristics of loading, the support piles used in building foundation pit have three types: shallow-embedded pile, cantilever pile and deep-embedded pile. The answer of shallow-embedded pile and cantilever pile are exclusive, but the deep-embedded pile have many answers. At present, 'the Technical Specification for Retaining and Protection of Building Foundation Excavations' and 'Code for Technique of Building Foundation Pit Engineering' commend applying equivalent beam method to design the deep-embedded pile. However, in actual deep foundation pits, because the position where the crankle is zero is difficult to found, engineer often apply the position where the soil pressure is zero to replace it. Though the problem is solved the theory of equivalent beam is really anamorphic.In theory, the shallow-embedded pile and cantilever pile are the specific form of deep-embedded pile. In this paper, author establishes the calculating model and presents a new calculating method of deep-embedded pile, achieves the characteristic curve of crankle along the pile with single supporting, so the many answers mode of deep-embedded pile has been reverted.For the any engineering case, based on the engineering condition and request, it can be designed and the best support program can be found. In this paper, by using this calculating method of deep-embedded pile in engineering case of building foundation pit, comparing the calculating results and the testing results, the author validate this method.
