Study On The Guiding Space Of The Taoism Buildings In Wooded Hills

Taoism Buildings in wooded hills is one of the most important parts of the Chinese traditional architecture, it has demonstrated the intelligence and building level of the ancient Chinese working people. Taoism Buildings, especially those in the wooded hills, has embodied lots of the main the philosophy of Taoism, such as "human life being in a highly harmony with nature". And among these Taoism Buildings space, the guiding space is the most important one which embodied these ideas.This thesis chooses Taoism Buildings in wooded hills as its subject, focuses on the analysis and the research of the guiding space, and to find out the principle of the design of guiding space. Though the field investigation, analysis of the historically important documents, the author found this architecture has a characteristic of environment, such as advocate to the nature, adjust measures to local conditions, and so on.On this basis, the thesis concluded six form of site selection, such as the one located on the top of the mountain, on the lap and the mountain foot, by the river, beside the cliff, built though the caves, and combined various of the topography and configuration. And then concluded the building sequence of the guiding space, mat is "starting —continuous—transition", and summarizes the character of the guiding space. Then the author system analysis the guiding space though the art character, as the relative property, fluidity, rhythm city of the space in the design, and concluded the universal law of the guiding space design.These research work has enriched the theory of the traditional architecture design, and has provided a new way in the future architecture design.
