Along with the commissions of some combined cycle power plants in recent years, researches on gas turbine (GT) and combined cycle unit have received more and more concerns. How to realize the optimization design of GT and combined cycle unit, analyze combined cycle system energy consumption essence and structure becomes the key of researches.Based on Specific consumption analysis theory, Specific consumption structure and distribution in the generating equipments of combined cycle system are analyzed, and main thermal performance parameter—compressor optimal pressure ratio is mathematical calculated. Besides, GT waste heat power utilization schemes are studied; thermodynamic calculation is presented in detail. The paper also discusses working fluid parameter how to affect the economical efficiency of equipments, analyzes graphically, and discusses the characteristic of waste heat power utilization in depth.In conclusion,directional guidance for energy conservation improvement can be available. Above research achievements can also provide some theory support for the optimization design and operation of the combined cycle system.
