Research On Community Zoning

The society space structure of the rapid urbanized metropolitan county is drastic changing. Take Shanghai Jiading for a instance, directly affected by industrialization and suburbanization, the space structure and society structure of the region have great changed and taken on a imbalance development and a unstable situation, which concentrated conflicts. Presently, the Jiading community is premature. There is a notable difference between different areas. The management system is faultiness. It is still unaccustomed to develop properly. At the same time, the traditional communities are being drastically divided. How to lead community reconfiguration, strengthen community function, and adjust it to future developments are very important. It is necessary to study community zoning in urban planning terms.Through the inspection of Jiading community evolution process and the status research on community building, author explored the characters and problems of the rapid urbanized metropolitan county with two dominant factors, community space and community life. Analysis shows that there are three types of community Jiading, communities of urbanization area, associate urbanization of rural communities and traditional rural communities. Urbanization area communities are relative maturated. Associate urbanization of rural communities are growing up. Rural communities are facing urbanization.Community zoning is an effective means of solving the problem of space organizations. Through the re-integration of space resources, we can achieve the purpose of the adjustment and improvement of community-based organizations. Therefor, aim at the diffirent characters of three types community, diffirent zoning mathords should be taken. They are to zone community on the the existing condition, to zone giudeing by planning with long-rang and short-rang bounded together. I hope community zoning can be a foundation of community building and urban planning management.
