Uneven soil layer, site's height difference and asymeetric excavation in construction all can lead up to defferent load distribution on the retaining structure .It must induce the value change of deformation and internal force, even make retaining structure move as a whole in one direction. In the paper, the earth pressure calculating formula considering effect of displacement is put forward by quoting some of hypotheses of Winkler foundation model, using mutually independent non-linear spring to instead of soil action, and expressing the relationship between earth pressure and displacement by a hyperbola. With the formula, earth pressure can be calculated by displacement of retaining structure. Then model of transformed frame is established to consider the interrelationship of retaining structure. Non-linear spring is substituted for effect of soil, pile is simplified to column, and shoring is simplified to beam. But the friction between pile and soil is not considered. With the model, influence of asymmetric load on retaining structure can be analyzed easily. In the paper, several important influencing parameters of the deformation of retaining structure are analyzed in order to reduce the influence of asymeetric load. And a formula of ground settlement around excavation is proposed, which is based the normal distribution of density function. The relationship between ground settlement and excavation is studied in several aspects to make value of ground settlement less.In the end, by an example, the calculating method of the paper is shown useful and accuracy for estimating the deformation of retaining structure in engineering.
