| RC frame structure with special-shaped columns has got relatively extensive application because of good architectural function in the recent years. However, as a kind of comparatively new structural system, it has never experienced the test of earthquake. So, many research of seismic behavior of special-shaped columns, beam-column joint and RC frame under large earthquake have been done in China. But on the point of seismic capacity of the whole structure in seismic regions with earthquake intensity of degree 8, the test and theoretic analysis on the frame structure with special-shaped columns are deficient. Therefore, the forward study of this topic should be more necessary and has a great theoretical and practical value. So, this duty designed three RC frame with special-shaped columns for low frequency cyclic loading test.The seismic behavior of the second RC frame with special-shaped columns, such as bearing capacity, ductility, hysteresis property, energy dissipation and failure mechanism, has been researched. The calculated results show that frame with wide flange special-shaped columns at first story has good ductibility, capacity of energy dissipation and collapse mode. As a result, this style of structure has good seismic behaviors.In order to show the superiority of the frame with wide flange special-shaped columns at first story, the seismic behavior of the thired frame with special-shaped columns has been compared with the second. The calculated results show that because of the wide flange special-shaped columns at first story, it improves the disadvantage of some seismic behavior of frame with wide flange special-shaped columns at first story.Finally, some suggest for design and structural measures for residence system of RC frame with special-shaped columns are mentioned from the above study. |
