The paper investigates the seismic behavior of RC frame with special-shapedcolumns and analyze the seismic behavior of special-shaped columns, beam-columnjoint, RC frame . But on the point of seismic capacity of the whole structure in seismicregions with earthquake intensity of degree 8, the test and theoretic analysis on theframe structure with special-shaped columns are deficient. Therefore, the forward studyof this topic should be more necessary and has a great theoretical and practical value.Dynamic elastic-plastic time-history analysis is an important method to evaluatethe seismic behavior of structures. The shaking table model was calculated withNDAS2D which is a finite element analysis of nonlinear dynamic elastoplasticanalyzing computer program , and the calculated results accorded with the tested resultswell. The shaking table tests on the model and the calculated results showed thedisplacement of the structure under slight earthquake and sever earthquake contentedthe limits of the codes. The calculated results show us that the RC frame withspecial-shaped columns has good ductibility, capacity of energy dissipation and collapsemode. As a result, this style of structures had good seismic behaviors.In order to study the capability of earthquake resistant on RC frame withspecial-shaped columns, three three-story, two-span, 1/3-scale low frequency cyclicloading test RC frame with special-shaped columns were designed. At the same time,the author take elastic-plastic analysis on test frame based on concrete solid element byFEA software ANSYS. And the elastic-plastic analysis for the model frame is carriedout using the pushover method, and the developing sequence of plastic hinges, yieldingmode and the failure configuration of the element of the frame are gotten. Calculationresults with ANSYS are similar to calculation results with Sap2000.Finally, some suggest for design and structural measures for residence system ofRC frame with special-shaped columns are mentioned from the above study. |
