The traditional design method of the caisson breakwaters usually takes the static measure, regardless of the effect of dynamic characteristic of breakwater on the design load. It is not applicable any longer of the traditional static design method, because of the transient kinetic characteristic by impact wave force. In the past, only the break waves during one period have been considered. In fact the wave force of break wave is continuous and long-playing. Wave spectrum is an important means to generate random wave. It is more appropriate to illustrate the inner characteristic of the random wave than the old method, which generates a whole period wave only by wave element. It was focus on the kinetic characteristic of the breakwaters during one whole wave period. Although the effect on the breakwaters by wave can be well studied, the project concerns more about the damage of the breakwaters during the whole lifetime. So this paper aims at the analysis of the dynamic response of the breakwaters during the whole lifetime.The main production included in this paper is as follows:1. A procedure of random wave has been generated by the wave spectrum. With the wave spectrum, a continuous and long-playing random wave force procedure is built up by using the improved time history of wave force.2. The characteristic of random wave ,wave force and dynamic response of caisson breakwaters during single storm is stimulated in this paper. The effect of breakwave on the characristic of stastic and power distribution is analyzed also.3. The effect of parameters on the stability of breakwaters is analyzed by changing the parameters in dynamic model.4. Base on the expected sliding distance method, this paper stimulates the working status of breakwaters during the whole lifetime by Monte-Carlo method, and analyses the characteristic of probability of breakwaters during the whole life time.
