In the aircraft design, the stiffness of structure and the precision of the analysis have a big effect on the availability of the design process. Both calculation of the dynamic response and analysis of the dynamic stability, even the structure and other system of the vehicles' coupling disturbance analysis are all based on the dynamic inherent characteristic of structure. At the same time, there is high requirement for the stiffness of the structure in the research. Because of the complex structure, the existence of the interface causes difficulty for the analysis of the stiffness and dynamics. In order to analyze the stiffness and inherent characteristic of the socket joint structure, the contact theory and finite element numerical method analysis are used. And the results are verified by static test and striking experiment.Stress concentration, boundary nonlinearity, and even the nonlinearity of the material or geometry are referred in the contact research. In the beginning of the second chapter, the finite element numerical method analysis is used, then it is combined with the socket joint model, a reasonable physical model is built to solve the contact problem. And the accuracy is verified by an example. Then in the third chapter, the NASTRAN is used to analyze the stiffness and inherent characteristic of the socket joint structure. The process is exactly introduced. In the fourth chapter, the drawing, buckling, bending and shearing of a socket joint structure are tasted, and then the results are compared with the results which are calculated by the software. In the end, the effect on the structure's stiffness is discussed which is because of the bolt's diameter and pro-load's change. Comparing and analyzing the calculate results of several operating conditions, the law of the effect is summarized. Then the differences between the theoretical calculate results and experimental results are discussed and analyzed. The shortage of this paper and some proper advice are also given in the end.
