The bench measurement system for electric power steering (for short the Bench) is used to test the operating and controlling principle, basic characteristic of the electric power steering system (EPS) which is used to improve the steering performance of the automobile. The steering-wheel driver of the Bench is the research object in the dissertation.The steering-wheel driver of the Bench produces high-precision input signals which directly influence the reliability of the test results. A AC servo motion control system based on"PC plus motion control card"is designed for the steering-wheel driver. In order to reduce the disadvantage influences which include time-varying, nonlinear, multi-variable, strong coupling, and so on, The fuzzy-PID controller combined PID controller which ease of engineering application, has simple control algorithm and fuzzy controller which holds strong robustness, is independent upon the mathematical model of controlled objects is designed. In the system, Visual Basic .NET was taken as the development platform which calls for the application program interface (API) in PCI-8132 motion control card.The test results indicate that the system has high degree of numeralization, high stability and control precision, is expedience and expandable.
