With the development of industry and the increase of population, the output of Wastewater and sewage sludge has been increasing greatly. The sewage sludge is the by-product of Wastewater treatment plants. In order to minimize its harm and make effective usage, treatment and disposal of the sludge has become a world-wide question.As the quantity of the sewage treatment and the treatment rate increasing, the sludge output also increasing .At present, the level of sludge treatment in Wuhan municipal sewage treatment plant is low, mainly disposed by landfill, rarely utilization in farmland, even somewhat sludge deposed without treatment, forms to the environment pollution. Analyzing the characteristics of the sludge from municipal sewage treatment plant in Wuhan so that give a reasonable disposal project is necessary.In this thesis, investigation has been made on the sludge disposal of municipal sewage treatment plant sludge disposal in Wuhan. It has chosen the sludge of the plants in research .The plants including Longwangzui sewage treatment plant,Nantaizi-lake sewage treatment plant,Sha-lake sewage treatment plant. During the research, the way of treatment in Longwangzui sewage treatment plant is one level disposal, Nantaizi-lake and Sha-lake sewage treatment plant both are two level disposal. Analyzing the characteristics of the sludge , including :Moisture content, pH value, organic matter, nitrogen phosphorus potassium content, heavy metal content, burning calorific capacity ,and so on. The result indicated: ①Moisture content 66.29 % ~80.53 %; ②pH value 6.5~7.0; ③The organic content is high, average COD in the dry sludge 715~797mg/g; ④Ample N P K, ⑤ High heavy mental; ⑥High burning calorific capacity of the dry sludge , average 2007~3413kJ/kg.Discussing the mistake about the understanding of sludge disposal from the municipal sewage treatment plant.
