With the advancement of science and technology of power industry and its reform going on, companies have a higher technical demand on the vibration monitoring and automatic fault diagnosis system than ever. In the paper, a vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis system in steam turbine generator based on LabVIEW is developed.Theories and knowledge about vibration state monitoring and analytic technology are summarized. And familiar vibration fault diagnosis methods are compared in order to supply academic base for system development.The system software and hardware design are finished, concluding sensors, DAQ, DSP circuit design, full periodic sampling of vibration signal and interface design. The system has achieved data collection and monitoring. Database system of turbo-generator units based on SQL 2000 are designed and set up. It completes access of vibration characteristic data, but wave files, to wave data, are adopted to access for faster running speed. Additionally, the database system can communicate with PI database system of power plant SIS, which enrich diagnosis data source.DataSocket technology is used to implement the remote data transmission and a method of vibration condition monitoring and automatic fault diagnosis is put forward. The vibration remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system based B/S mode, which adapt to LAN, has established. The system can be satisfied higher demand of on-line users.Finally, fuzzy mathematics are apply into diagnose possible causes of turbo-generator units based on causality between familiar faults causes and symptoms, which implement automatic fuzzy fault diagnosis.
