Nowadays, water resource has already been one of the most important factors which restrict the development of national economy and social progressive. In order to form an economical society and achieve the requirement of the strategy of sustainable development, enterprises should save water 30% per unit industrial increment until 2010 according to the new policy of "the Eleventh Five-year Plan", which also promotes the application and study on the support structure system for air cooled condenser of big power plant.The introduction of air cooled condenser system in big power plants, which could save water 80% more or less than traditional thermal electric generation system, especially applies to the northern areas such as northwest and northeast districts where is short of water. However, all the existing support structure systems for air cooled condenser of big power plant are designed by foreign institutes. Therefore, series of experimental research are developed to propel the domestic progress, in which 600MW air cooled condenser system in Tong Liao power plant is appointed a model projects of demonstration by the Chinese Developments and Improvements Committee.Support structure system of air cooled condenser is a typical steel-concrete vertical hybrid structure, whose stiffness and mass is non-uniform along vertical direction. As a main strut structure system, it bears many kinds of complex dynamic load and environmental function. So, the platform's security directly affects the electrical network system's safe operation. In this paper, SAP2000 finite element code is used to analysis structure's modality. Structure's endogen force and displacement under each kind of load (dead load; live load; snow load; wind load) are also calculated; based on theoretical analysis and finite element calculation, studied on influence of the interferential force, which was produced by big fan under working condition, given to the structure. And pushover analytical method is used to analyze the earthquake-resistant performance of this kind of structure.The results show that, structure's torsional effect is obvious, under earthquake structure's vibration is very complex. The big fan under working condition will surmount the structure base frequency, which will cause the structure to resonate. Although support structure system for the air cooled condenser system can satisfy the earthquake resistance request, but because the reinforced concrete tube column is the mainly dissipative element, so the structure's earthquake resistance garrisons is too solely.This research may help us to understand this kind of vertical hybrid structure's force transmission mechanism, and may accelerate its design domestic product advancement.
