The unique compatibility of hot springs leads to the combination of spa and bath culture, architectural culture, health culture, and living culture, and then produces the erudite and solid hot sping culture. The architecture of spa which is the supporter of hot spring culture has been concerned gradually because of its unique constitution of space and its special position in the scenic spot. However, as for the present development of architecture of spa, have appeared some problems because of three reasons: late start and lack of experience; simple imitation of foreign examples; the neglection of China's national conditions and real situation.The theme of the paper is: coupled with the characteristics of scenic spot, put forward a more comprehensive and complete theoretical system for the architecture design of hot spring.This article discusses the thereis of architecture design of hot spring from the point of scenic spot, tourism plan, context design, landscape architecture, holiday villige design, hotel design, and villa design and so on. The architecture design of spa expresses the characteristic in scenic spot from its integrated layout, motion system, form and structure system, visual landscape, architecture foemation, and the context, material, and color in the surface and so on.Landscape architecture Spa has its superiority which makes it unable to be replaced by urban spa because of the special position in the scenic spot, and the architecture design must be conducted combinating with all the space of landscape architecture.This article begins with the systematic analysis of the architecture of hot spring, spa, and the hot spring culture. Then give a synthetical discuss of architecture of spa combinating with the resent situation of the development in our country and overseas.
