In this paper, the digital control system for the traveling system of an asphalt concrete paver is researched. The drive method and control theory of the hydraulic traveling system of the paver are described in detail. The paper puts out a specific control strategy, designs hardwires and software for digital controller of a paving machine's hydraulic traveling system with C167CR, realizes the control of the machine's traveling forwards and backwards, starting, braking, accelerating and decelerating, and the control of the function of left-right turning and in situ turning.This paper puts great emphasis on the study of constant-velocity control technology and integrates improved PID control technology into design of the digital controller of a paving machine's traveling system to realize constant-velocity control in work condition. It builds mathematics models for the whole traveling system and carries out its debugging experiments with project language CODESYS. After experiments and the analysis, the paper gets dynamic response of the motor's output, demonstrates the better performance of the improved PID control which is better than traditional PID control , and the selection of the digital controller is proper.Finally, the paper illustrates the good performance of the digital controller of a paving machine's traveling system through field tests. |
