In view of the current rapidly increasing amount of the in-used automobiles, the relatively independent automobile detection stations and maintenance companies have already formed the scale, and effectively undertook the detection and the maintenance task of the in-used vehicles. They function separately to keep the automobiles running under the intact technological state; however the management of detection and maintenance for the vehicles fails to work effectively in the current information age. Detection and maintenance information is independent at present. The information is still transmitted only with the reports among the communication departments, the detection stations, and the maintenance companies. The communication departments can only grasp the detection and maintenance information and the technological state of the vehicles with the annual reports or the quarter reports, so that they cannot manage the information in real time. The resources cannot be shared, which makes the detection for the vehicles outside the city cannot proceed. The automobiles must get back to the ancestral site to take the detection, maintenance and the grade evaluation. The effective supervision for the declaration that the vehicles are no longer usable, cancel of the vehicles recorded,the punishment for the vehicles which start using and driving against the traffic regulations cannot be realized, so that the resources are wasted and consumed improperly.In order to make up the insufficiency of the information above, this thesis is devoted to doing the research on the management system of the detection and maintenance for the vehicles, and it will realize the following purposes: the detection and maintenance resources can be shared throughout Jilin Province; the vehicles can take the detection and grade evaluation in the strange land, so that the detection and maintenance information and the technological state information of the vehicles can be shared by the relational departments; the communication departments at all levels can control the detection and maintenance information, the technological state of the vehicles in real time, and they can also guide the business and the administration in real time; the detection stations , maintenance factories can transmit the detection and maintenance information on the Internet to the communication departments every day, and convey the information to the information centre of Jilin Province step by step; the automobile users, detection stations and the maintenance factories can get the information consultation or require the technology guidance through the Internet from the relevant departments.In order to realize the above-mentioned purposes, the traffic office of Jilin Province, together with the transportation engineering research Institute of Jilin University starts the project of the detection and the maintenance management informationization for the vehicles. According to the relevant policies and regulations and the technology information of the detection and maintenance for the vehicles in the GB18565-2001"Comprehensive Performance Requirement and the Detection Method of the Operation Vehicles"and the GB/T17993-2005"General Requirement for the Vehicles'Comprehensive Performance Detection Station Ability"and other files, the present author has carried out the study on the technology of the detection and maintenance management system for the vehicles with the help of the most advanced network technology of the computer at present, technology of the database, NET technology, ADO.NET technology, network programming technology ,etc. This thesis is exactly the research achievements based on this project. The main contents of the research in this thesis are as follows:1. The Topological Structure Based on the DDN Technology and the VPN Technology: This thesis will make an introduction to the DDN technology and the VPN technology at first. After the analysis and research, the two technologies will be adopted to construct the system network and then provide the topological structure model of the system, and elaborate the procedure in which the data information is transmitted through the system.2. The Structure of the System Based on the Mixed Mode of B/S and C/S: the two modes will be introduced separately at first, then the mixed mode will be selected and offer the system model, and its advantage will be discussed after the comparison of the merits and demerits between these two kinds of modes.3. The Application of the Management Information System, the Technology of Database, and the ADO.NET Technology in the System Design: at first, the concept and design of the database technology will be elaborated explicitly. and then the ADO.NET technology of the NET technology will also be expounded.4. The research on the jurisdiction and the security mechanism of the system; the realization of the jurisdiction and the security mechanism of the system; the concept and the enactment of the system users and roles.5. The Application of the JSP/Servlet Technology in the System of the B/S Mode: the characters of the Jsp/Servlet technology, the system model based on the Jsp technology, and the advantage of the Jsp technology will be introduced separately.6. The Design and the Realization of the Subsystem Based on the C/S Mode: the system will be analyzed at first, and then the function design will be confirmed, at last the design of the system communication function will be illustrated, and the design of the system security will also be discussed. The database of the system will be designed again to provide the instances of the operating system.7. The Design and the Realization of the Subsystem Based on the B/S Mode: the system structure will be expounded at first, and then the function design will be confirmed, the design of the system security will also be discussed. Furthermore, the connection and the inquiry of the database will be designed and studied in detail to provide the instances of the operating system finally.This thesis has realized the following functions through the study of the contents above:1.the functions of the subsystem based on the C/S mode:Management of the Files'Uploading and Downloading the files can be produced, and the function of uploading and downloading has been realized;Management of Detection for the Vehicles the data information of the files in the detection stations, second-degree maintenance, and the grade evaluation can be inputted, inquired, revised, and deleted.Management of Maintenance for the Vehicles the data information of the files of the maintenance companies and the maintenance settlement can be inputted, inquired, revised, and deleted, and the statistic reports can be produced and printed.Management of the Vehicle Technology the data information of the files of the vehicles, declaration that the vehicles are no longer usable, cancel of the vehicles recorded,the punishment for the vehicles which start using and driving against the traffic regulations, can be inputted, inquired, revised, and deleted, and the statistic reports can be produced and printed.Management of System the system users can be added and deleted, and the function of the users'jurisdiction enactment has been established. The maintenance function of the system's database has also been realized.2.the functions of the subsystem based on the B/S mode:Management of System The system administer can manage the users, and manage the information of the detection and maintenance for the vehicles. Users'Reference to Information The users can obtain the reference to the information of the detection and maintenance for the vehicles according to their jurisdiction. Through the research achievements of this thesis, the network interconnection and the all-in-one system structure of the data sharing among the detection stations, automobile maintenance companies and the communication departments can be realized. It can effectively help the communication departments grasp the information of the technology and the information of the detection and maintenance for the vehicles in real time, and it can also provide the information inquiring service for the related detection stations, maintenance companies and the vehicle users. It can offer the very good technical support and the management system software for the vehicles'detection and maintenance management informationization in Jilin Province. It can also provide a comparatively advanced solution to the vehicles'detection and maintenance management informationization in China.
