In abroad, for the sake of the competition ability of the exaltation oneself business enterprise, automobile manufacturers are researching and developing one seat of the magnesium aluminum metal alloy to reduce its weight, and have already applied on the deluxe cars. But the development of magnesium aluminum metal alloy application just Start in our country, in order to promote the research and the development of the seat of magnesium aluminum metal alloy in our country, this text carried on the Study on Static Strength of Seat Structure by FEM, expecting the further application of magnesium aluminum metal alloy in our country, and for the new production of seat to do the technique Storage.At the same time, the contemporary seat designer is faced with the task of creating a more efficient, lightweight Structure at minimum cost. Computer aided engineering design methodology has been developed and employed in the design of seating systems successfully in abroad. But it is Still in the beginning State in seat industry in our country. Whose aim is to find a prac- tical method which can aid the seat Structure design.Element Method was employed in this paper to predict the performance ofseat Structure under Static loads, Using CATIA, HyperMesh and ABAQUS, a finite element model of seat frame was built up and some data were gotten which were certified by the tests. The main contents of this paper are des- cribed as follows:1. Based on reading of a mass of literature, I Introduced amenity of over- seas seat, Study method and development direction of safety. Pro- duction and development direction of light weight seat research .I also am- ply introduced magnesium metal which was developed rapidly in the world, and it's application at light weight automobile.2. Digested the engineering software and simply introduce feature and application of HyperMesh. And create finite element metadata of electron metal seat base on HyperMesh. This metadata include four parts, its seat bracket, assembly of seat backrest framework, assembly of angle regulator, and seat board. Because of geometry, this metadata only use sheet element. There are 42913 nodes and 42008 elements. simplified welding, screw fastening of seat Structure.3. Emulational analyze with Static Strength character according to safety laws about automobile seat all over the world. Calculated by method of load and constraint when emulational analyzing. This method make sure we can compare with the result of emulational analyze and bench test. Compared with result of emulational analyze and seat Static Strength test ,the average percentage error is 13.488%.So we can consider the emulational metadata have definite precision ,and this verified the idea of creating and predigesting metadata is correct.4. Emulational analyze with the seat backrest Static Strength .I load through the barycenter of seat backrest as bench test. Comparing with theresult of emulational analyze and bench test, and the average percentage errors 15.02%. I found Static Strength of this seat backrest is insufficient, and this is same as bench test. So I bring forward improve method of metadata, and provide reference to the next work.5. Seat Structure improved design. The seat this article Studying is magnesium metal seat researched by Xuyang Company. Because this is only initial metadata, so there must be some shortage in the Structure. I improved the shortage .With experience and mentor's help, I confirmed improve project by emulational analyze comparing. Change section Structure of seat backrest, add Stiffener between backrest side board and angle regulator, so the Strength of this part can be increased. The seats after improvement reach the specification of laws, and will not lead to excess performance of seat. So this design has very high engineering utility value.The significance of this paper is as follows:1. Introduced light weight automobile present Status of the world, compared the domestic condition .Study this technique weakness is helpful with development of Chinese automobile light weight and new material application at Chinese auto industry.2. Imbibed finite element software Altair HyperMesh and ABAQUS/ Standard. Commanded the method of plotting grid, and pre-digesting of Structure. And process of Studying seat Static Strength by finite element software. All of this summarized experience for later generations.3. Emulational analyze with electron metal seat assembly Static Strength and backrest Static Strength which was underway in China, I also improved the shortage of Structure this is very significant with guiding seatactual exploiture, and also have referenced value to fallowing exploiture with similar seat product. |
