With the rapid development of power electronics, the capability of utilizing electricity and the performances of electric network have been greatly improved. But due to wide applications of the rectifiers, various harmonic waves are produced. They pollute the electric network seriously and reduce the efficiency of production, transmission and utilization of electricity. Recently, the energy shortage has become the bottle neck of developing national economy. So the inverter air conditioners which are increasingly popular are no exception, although relevant government departments have recommend people use inverter air conditioners. Low efficiency means power supply system's loss will be increased, especially like high power appliances, such as air conditioners. Since the power factor is of key importance to raising of energy efficiency and improving of performances of the electric network, new rectifiers with high performance are in dire need, which have the power factor correction function to restrain the harmonic waves of switch power supplies.Today, however, the energy shortage has become a bottleneck restricting the development of the national economy. In view of power factor correction's significance for the access to power supply's utilization and quality of power supply, and Based on extensive research and understand to power factor correction technology's mainly production in recent years , a kind of Average Current Mode Controlled Power Factor Correction Converter based on DSP will be reseached in this paper.With the availability of low cost, high performance DSP controllers featuring high CPU bandwidth and integrated power electronics peripherals such as analog-to-digital (A/D) converters, pulse width modulator (PWM). Compared to traditional analog control, DSP controllers provide many distinctive advantages such as, a standard control hardware design for multiple platforms, less susceptibility to aging and environmental variations, better noise immunity, ease of implementations of sophisticated control algorithms, flexibility of design modifications to meet a specific customer need.This project is a novel kind of PFC program designed for the inverter air conditioner, basing on the TMS320LF2407A. In this kind of Average Current Mode Controlled Power Factor Correction Converter, An input voltage feed-forward part was added to the control loops to improve the system stability while the input voltage varied, so it can maintain good dynamic response.The paper has been independently developed in a new software and hardware. It can abandon the traditional way with import module in the past, reduce the cost. It can achieve the same effect as the import module with much lower cost, is very applicable to today's household appliance market, has a very good economic and social benefit.
