Research on power flow of power system is uninterrupted. It is the object to find out a algorithm with merits of strong adaptability, fast calculation speed and reliable convergence. Using the principle of impedance method with iterative formulas for PV node proposed, Fast Ybus Load Flow is presented. The algorithm makes use of expunction and equivalence and is completely based on node impedance matrix. It has many advantages such as explicit principle, easy program implementation, fast calculation. Because of not being impacted by the ratio of R/X, it can be applied reliably to transmission system and distribution system. Convergence factor is presented to decide the speed of convergence under the premise of small phase angle between PV nodes. Compared with N-R, Fast Decoupled Load Flow and forward/backward sweep method, the results of IEEE examples validate these conclusions.
