In the last few years , with the coming of natural revenge and energy crisis, Chinese urban housing industrialization development faces a grate challenge. Indeed , housing design for low-energy expense will be the urgent and effective way to realize sustainable developing and to solve the natural revenge . It is also crucial to 21st century's sustainability of our country. But the existing situation of our country is behind the times , and also restricted within narrow limits, as well as the theory divorced from practice. The thesis tries to explore the basic theory about urban housing design for low-energy expense and applicable approach for contemporary house in the delta of Yangtze River.The thesis consists of five chapters. In chapter one, it has summarized some principle and practical expression of low-energy housing both in China and aboard. The second chapter analyzes the geography, social situation, climate and thermal environment of the Yangtze River delta. The third chapter further puts forward urban housing design principles and strategies on the basis of such analyse. The fouth chapter presents a series of technical suggestions according to reality of the Yangtze River delta . Finally it has introduced and evaluated three typical cases in the delta of Yangtze River. On the basis of the researchs mentioned above the thesis provides references for architects.The thesis has some 80,000 Chinese words , with 160 illustrations and 42 tables.
