In this paper, we take PMSM which has an optical encoder as a control object, and design the hardware & software of the system of PMSM. Servo system is a motion control system which has the property of digital, high performance. Based on IRMCK201, could implement the digital control successfully.The hardware system takes PIC16F877 as a processor, power circuit takes IRAMS10UP60A as a core and uses HCPL2631 to isolate the PWM output signal. As a core chip of control circuit, IRMCK201 can implement speed and current control by optical encoder circuit and current check circuit. The protective circuit could implement the function of over-current protection and over-temperature protection. The design of whole hardware system takes many EMC measures, which can enhance the reliability.The software system is made up of main program, ISR. Main program implements the function of the initialization IRMCK201, interruption, every sub-module. ISR implements the over-current protection by cut down PWM output.
