In the design of breakwaters and seawalls, crown walls are always used. But crown walls are set on the top of dikes all the time. The heights of the dikes are larger than the sum of designed high water level and significant wave height. Crown walls are used to stop the water after runup. If we can set the crown wall close to the designed high water level, and make the crown wall to lead the water back by changing the curve of it, then it will be much cheaper to build a dike.FLUENT is used to serve as the basis for the development of numerical wave flume. Considering the flow of incompressible liquid, the primary governing equations are the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations associated with the proper turbulence model. In present work, the standard k ?εturbulence model is adopted assuming. The volume of fluid method (VOF) is used to trace the free surface. VOF method traces the free surface shape by a volume fraction function, which is defined as the ratio between the fluid volume and the volume of the grid cell. An integrated wave...
