With the advocating of city environment protect, the green project becomes more and more favorite, so the HDD technology takes a more and more important role in the city's laying pipeline underground because of its advantages, which doesn't destroy the road and affect the normal traffic. However, with the complication of underground pipelines in the city, the construction environment of the new underground pipelines becomes more and more complex so that destroyed accidents become frequency because of the soil deformation. Finite Element Method analyses to the stress and strain of the soil in the HDD process can be used to study and predict the real deformation and mechanics of soil, and then to void destroying structures on the ground, reduce the difficult of project, promote the progress of construction, lower the cost of construction, and enhance the quality of project.
