Study On The Design Of Residential Houses Along Railway Lines

At present in China, the total railway mileage accounts to 70,000 km, with passenger trains running on busy trunk lines at the maximum traveling speed of 120-140km/h. According to the railway acceleration program in "the 15th Five-year Plan", the maximum traveling speed of passenger trains on busy trunk lines will reach 160km/h in 2005. Furthermore, the construction of high-speed railway is imperative under the situation in China.In the total railway operation mileage, quite a part of railways go through cities. A good architectural design can greatly improve the quality of regional environment and residential quality along the railway lines, activating the land use along the railway lines. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the study.Residential buildings are high in requirements of reduction of noise, shock, fume and other pollutions. The study of residential buildings along the railway lines is significant for the design of other constructions along the railway lines.Through analysis, this paper considers that the effects of railway to residential buildings along the lines mainly include noise, shock, fume and others. This paper studies the method of improving the conditions of residential houses along the railway lines in view of planning and architectural design.In view of planning to avoid noise pollution, it mainly studies the layout of residential quarters, soundproof wall design and environmental design. To avoid shock hazard, it mainly studies the making methods of shock absorption trenches.
