The electric fuel pump is an important part of the automobiles' fuel-supplying system .Electric fuel pump is non-detachable after assembly and it needn't servicing, therefore, there is a large demand. Electric fuel pump for EFP431 type which is a kind of electric fuel pump has been widely used, so the research of electric fuel pump for EFP431 type is absolutely necessary.This paper systematically elaborated the overall design theory of the electric fuel pump's rotor for EFP431 type. The design steps for cycloid gear pump of the electric fuel pump is especially given. Analyzed the performance parameter of electric fuel pump, inferred the displacement formula of the electric fuel pump and analyzed the stress condition of the cycloid rotor in meshing time. Established the mathematical model to optimize the cycloid rotary pump and utilized formidable mathematical analysis software MATLAB to carry on the optimized computation. Established the entity model through the CAD software pro/Engineer Wildfire. Carried on the analysis with ANSYS software to the rotors and confirmed the optimized design result is correct. At the same time it also has provided the theory basis and reference for optimized design of the electric fuel pump.
