Precast segmental external prestressed structure combines closely with the modern construction technics and the development trend of prestressed. As a credible, economic and practical construction method, precast segmental construction has been widely accepted and utilized in the practical projects all over the world. The construction technology of precast segmental structures with exteral tendons is currently mature in foreign countries, but in our country, its utilization is still in the initial stage. This paper reviews its developing history and present status, and also explores the constitution of external prestressed systematically.Based on data, design code and related documentations of many countries, the paper investigates the design theory and method of external prestressed concrete bridges comprehensively. Combined with the north approach span design of Su-tong Long River bridge, this paper discusses both the design theory and PSBGET method .Considering the own characteristics of precast segmental external tendons bridge, the following aspects are investigated:Firstly, it particularly discusses the precast segmental external prestressed concrete bridge construction theory, its development and research stats, its major traits, general research situation home and abroad as well as the the precast segmental external prestressed systematic construction and its mechanics performance.Secondly, through discussion of the structure and construction technologic of precast segmental external prestressed concrete bridge, it develops the design and calculation principle, requirements, related design stress value such as prestressed loss and etc according with the characteristic of prestressing box beam in the precast segmental cantilever installation.Thirdly, it discusses the traditional analysis method of the precast segmental external prestressed bridge, disadvantages of the equipment load method and load balance method, furthermore, it proposes the analysis method of relationship between...
