Hybrid technology is regarded as one of the most promising technologies for clean vehicles through world wide. Since this century, China has also put a lot of efforts to rapid the commercialization process of hybrid electric vehicles, wishing to save energies and decrease pollutions. Under these circumstances, the study on hybrid electric vehicle control technology is becoming more and more important. Therefore, studying on the Shifting Process of Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle's AMT is investigated, while working on the national 863 project Control System for Jiefang Hybrid Electric Transit Bus.(1)The definition of AMT shifting quality is introduced. The Evaluating indicators for shifting quality, and the relationship of them are mentioned. The shifting process of parallel HEV with traditional vehicle's AMT control strategy is analyzed. Moreover, with the difference between parallel HEV and traditional vehicle in structure, driving and braking methods, so there are some problems during shifting process.(2)Dynamical Power train model of traditional vehicle and parallel HEV are established. The AMT Shifting process without clutch operation control strategy of parallel HEV is brought forward and the feasibility for the shifting process without clutch operation is discussed. In order to reduce the difficulty of downshifting process without clutch operation, the torque transmitted in the transmission is quantitatively analyzed and control strategy is brought forward.
