The competition of the concrete face rock-fill dam has become more and more vigorous in our country because of its economy, security and compatibility. It has obtained the widespread promotion and the development in domestic and foreign in recent years. And it has become the first choice for many projects.In our country, the construction technique of the concrete face rock-fill dam is imported so late, but its development is swift and violent. At present, the technology of the concrete face rock-fill dam in our country has advanced into the world advanced level ranks, and achieved rich experience in aspect of design, construction and monitor. Moreover, it has developed rapidly in aspect of the design theory and computation method, such as the finite element computation methods of two-dimensional and three-dimensional, this has a positive promotion for the technology of the concrete face rock-fill dam. However, the concrete face rock-fill dam has developed for several years in our country, but its complex analog computation method is still a puzzled problem in hydraulic engineering field. A good computation program not only can make the result more reasonable and accurate, but also have some advantages, such as convenient, current, easy operation and having popularized value. Only in this way, can it do well for engineering. Meanwhile, it is one of the critical topics which need to research further at present. In addition, the stress computation of the concrete face slab is always difficulty to determine . If considering the influence of the temperature load of the concrete face slab,which infection will bring to, it needs to be analyzed and proved further.In this paper, firstly, the friendly development platform of Adina software is used to develop the E-B material model ,so it can be applied in the concrete face rock-fill dam simulation computation; Using the element birth and death, time function and time step to simulate the concrete face rock-fill dam's construction process; Using the surface-surface contact method to simulate the contact between cushion and the concreteface slab; Using the spring element to simulate the settlement and shearing deformation of peripheral joint and vertical joint. Finally, stress and deformation of the concrete face rock-fill dam is simulated through the examples, and the result is analyzed using the massive graphs. Meanwhile, the reliability of development result is proved through the way of comparing to the original data.In addition, in this paper, the stress distribution of the face slab is analyzed by considering the temperature loads. And also contrast two kinds of situations considering temperature loads or not, finally it had determined the differences between two situations. It has analyzed the influence of stress distribution of the face slab considering the temperature loads, and summarized the law of the stress distribution. It has proposed an exploration method for the computation of the concrete face rock-fill dam on how to consider the load.This paper's achievements mainly include: the development of E-B material model based on Adina software and the confirmation made by the project examples; bringing up the contact model of temperature field, the contact model of temperature stress field between cushion and the concrete face slab; research of the stress distribution law on the face slab of concrete. In this paper, it can provide a finite element computation tool ,it has many advantages such as easy to operate, formidable computation function, formidable modeling and result handling; Meanwhile it has analyzed the influence of face slab stress distribution considering the temperature load. It has proposed a exploration method for the computation of the concrete face rock-fill dam on how to consider the load. It has the certain reference value to the similar project.
