Research On The Methods Of The Environmental Renewing And Transform Of The Old Living Districts Built In 1950s-1980s Of Nanjing City

The struction of new city districts and the renewing and transform of the old living districts is the main part of the urban development planning. Pounded by the historical development and modern civilization, the imbalance and conflicts occur between the new life style and the old living districts which has been outdated, whether in its material appearance and functions, or in its living pattern and surrounding environment. And the imbalance and conflicts are becoming more and more apparent along with the improvement of people's living standards. In order to improve the living conditions, both the government and the residents hope to transform the old living districts that hold hundreds of families, which make the transform inevitable. On the basis of the tentative combing of the theories on old urban renewing and old living districts transform, this writer investigated and analyzed the environment of the old living districts in Nanjing, then meditated and explored effective methods of the renewing and transform of the old living districts combing with the characters of Nanjing city, which is hoped to be good to the transform design of the old living districts.
