The market for the details of auto engine can be divided into two: one for the engine and the other for its maintenance. Every detail with friction and motion (just as the hydraulic tappet) must be periodically replaced because of its wearing in normal usage process, so its demand is several times, even a few decuples of the engine market. Settling test is a key working procedure to ensure the functions of a hydraulic tappet. The coupling accuracy of the tappet is very high and its production lot is great, so all of them must be examined when leaving factory. So the multi-station concurrent testing is adopted, which is of great importance in enhancing the productivity, suiting for the multi-species testing, lowering the human caused error and carrying out the efficient and dependable production.The settling tester of hydraulic tappet in this paper is a test instrument just developed for the automobile accessories. It can simulate the actual operating mode of engine and obtain the settling value of products within the rated pressure and time so as to judge whether they are qualified or not. The main research on the hydraulic tappet settling tester includes: adopt the multi-station concurrent test to increase the productivity according to the product craft, to suit the multi-species testing by the automatic call of database, the control of sample time and the selection of basis value, to collect and handle the data to reduce the human caused error; adopt the PLC sequential logic control to carry out the functions of each measuring head and give a signal to clear or keep the data; using the signal or data reverse signal provided by PLC , the PC, as an upper, will collect the data at appropriate time, compare the...
