In this paper, the author researches the high rock slope in left bank of DONGBA water and electricity station. The first part talks about the current research situation of the high rock slope stability analysis and all kinds of appraisal analytical methods of the high rock slope at present. Based on the engineering geological condition of the research object, the author establishes the research thoughts and methods of this paper.The second part detailedly analyzes and discusses the Fast Lagrangian Method based on strength reduction technique, Furthermore, uses FLAC3D to analyse and calculate the stability of high rock slope in left bank of DongBa water and electricity station.The third part introduces two limit equilibrium methods, Sarma method and energy method, and uses them to checkout the results of the Fast Lagrangian Method based on strength reduction technique.All the results indicate, this method of the Fast Lagrangian Method based on strength reduction technique does not need to suppose the shape and position of sliding plane, the safety coefficient of the slope compatible with the calculation result of the limit equilibrium method, the most dangerous sliding plane is a sliding zone in the width, more fit to actual. So the method can apply to the stability analysis of high rock slope.And furthermore, compared with other calculating technologies, FLAC procedure has simple programming, convenient for engineers and technicians to grasp and on-the-spot application, which can solve the problem of great displacement, the aftertreatment is powerful, etc. it is a kind of good method of geotectonic engineering calculation.
