The use of city rainwater can realize saving water,the water resources self-control and the protection, controlling city soil erosion and the waterlogging, reducing water pollution and improving the goal of city ecological environment and so on. The article is the system of using rainwater in urban,mainly carries on the irrigation or other using of the rain by lawn collection,belongs to the indirect using rain water category. Compares other water quality to, it has the better water quality water, the pollutions are fewer, the purity is higher.The article analyzes the nature of the soil sample and the transfusion in the the storing water system firstly, has expounded some inferential reasonings of the theoretical formulae computation. Then it carries on soil sample the experiment of the storing water system, including penetration coefficient determination experiment and capillary water rising experiment of the soil sample. In the capillary water rising experiment, I observe the time of capillary water rising is consisent with the result of theoretical formula by caculating basically.lt proves the precision of the experiment is high. From the experiment, it draws two following important conclusions. One is that the particle size of the soil sample and the capillary water climbing are inverse relationships; the other one is that the particle size of soil sample and the penetration coefficient are direct ratio relationships. These two conclusions for storing water system provide two kinds of designing mentalities:(1) In the smaller amount of rainfall area, it takes the way that the capillary water rise naturelly to give the lawn supplying moisture. Therefore I choose the sliver sand which is smaller particle size as the the storing water system material.(2) In the bigger amount of rainfall area, it takes the way which pumps water with the water pump to supply the lawn or to serve as other uses.
