The skew bridge has been extensively applied in the high-grade highway and stereoscopic transportation hinge in order to get better road alignment and increase traffic capacity of the road transportation. Skew hollow slab bridge has become an important part of skew bridge because of its low building height and simple construction. Assembly skew hollow slab bridge is different from the integral skew bridge and the girder one, because its mechanical property is more comprehensive. Due to there are not comparatively many researches on it, it is of great importance both in reality and theory to study it.Base on summarizing the development state of assembly skew hollow slab bridge, the research content of this dissertation has been determined. Taking Tuan Shan River Bridge, in Hubei province, China, as an example, the finite element method of space slab shell programmed in Ansys Parameter Design Language(APDL) is adopted to analyze the elastic properties. By calculating the internal force influence surface of assembly skew hollow slab bridge, the internal force-controlling section is attained. The loading program, by which the load can be directly applied to the internal force influence surface, is generated and used to get the result of loading on the influence surface. Through comparing the result of loading on the internal force influence surface of assembly skew hollow slab bridge with the one of the perpendicular bridge, the reduction factor method is offered and its corresponding reduction factor can be obtained. Some conclusions which provide some remarkable problems and theories for the design of the skew hollow are drawn from comparing and analysing the internal force, bearing reaction and deformation of assembly skew slab bridges, monolithic skew bridges and perpendicular one.Having considered material non-linear, this dissertation adopts space isoperimetric element and calculates the ultimate load of this skew hollow slab in several kinds of behaviours. From the computational results, the curve of load and deflection can be drawn and the stress, deformation and destruction characteristic can also be known. Based on the foundation, calculation formula of normal section intension of skew hollow slab is put forward, which offers as the method and theory for designing the section and distributing steel in this kind of bridge.
