Reinforced foundation is formed after tree-planting a different type of enhanced material in soil. Because of its cheap cost and convenient construction, it is used more and more widely. But its academic study lags the engineering practice, which results in the risk and the waste of engineering application. Therefore, more research must be developed.In the thesis, the study actuality of reinforced foundation has been detailedly introduced and analyzed. Then the author has a contrastive analysis of the design methods of the reinforced foundation after studying them and selected the limited analysis method as the article's recommendatory method. Simultaneously, combine with his own work experience, the author gets an advanced detail and general design steps. And then illustrates an actual engineering which is designed with the article's recommendatory method and steps. By combining with the test results, it is proved that the ground treatment result obtains the design requirement and the commendatory method is right, which is able to provide reference value to the engineering.At last, the author simulated destructive process of the reinforced foundation with ANSYS program. And the bearing capacity and settlement of numerical simulation is consistent to test results, which proved that the numerical simulation is right and the simulation is feasible with ANSYS program, this method enriched study resorts of reinforced foundation. The contrast between reinforced and unreinforced foundation proved that the ultimate bearing capacity and distortion ability have been amended after adding geogrid in soil.In this thesis, academic, actual engineering and numerical simulation analysis are carried out to study reinforced foundation. Some general conclusion obtained can be regarded as the reference of related criterions. The research result is useful in the structural design, construction practices and study work.
