| Convention and exhibition building is the new type building which evolves from the exhibition building. The function of the building include conventions, exhibitions and business. It plays an important role in city. At present we are lack to enough system research about the building so that lack to architectural norm. With the flourish of convention and exhibition economics, lack of the study certainly will restrict the correct development of convention and exhibition building. And with the publication of energy conservation standard of public building, also could to set the new request for convention and exhibition building. The object of this dissertation is the convention and exhibition building which mainly function is exhibition.Many researchs about daylighting in China are concerned with daylighting material and architecture esthetics, but neglect the main status of building. Large space and large span are the most evident characteristic of convention and exhibition building, thus, the researchs in this dissertation are mainly about some representative parameter which affect the daylighting quality of convention and exhibition building,such as ratio of glazing to floor area, dimension of hall(length,width,height), etc. Through the analysis of influence of these parameter on daylighting quality (such as uniformity of daylighting, average value of daylight factor, daylighting hores per year), we could acquire the appropriate dimension of building and the reasonable pattern of daylighting in initial design. We figure out the consuming electricity per year, and hope to reducing the lighting-energy when the figure of hall can satisfy to daylighting quality. The analysis in this dissertation would be helpful to the daylighting design of convention and exhibition building. Furthermore, this dissertation would provide some useful conclusion for establishment of the standard for daylighting design of convention and exhibition building. We calculate the uniformity of daylighting, average value of daylight factor by the daylighting design software-Lumen Micro in this dissertation. After analysis of difference calculate result. We found that the most important factor to the uniformity of daylighting is the height of hall, and the uniformity of daylighting increase with the height of hall. The most important factor to average value of daylight factor is the ratio of glazing to floor area and the height of hall. The average value of daylight factor has a positive relationship with the ratio of glazing to floor area, and has a negative relationship with the height.
