The wet compression technology in enhancing the gas turbine performance has the structure simply and the prominent effect and is easy to implement. Within the recent years in industrial gas turbine performance improvements the wet compression is one of the best measures.In this article the system analysis to the wet compression elementary theory from thermodynamics aspect, emphatically the heat transfer and the mass transfer phenomenon of wet compression process have been carried on. In the wet compression process the evaporation model of water droplets was established. Based on mentioned above multi elemental section constant pressure mathematical models for actual wet compression processes was established. By using the model the entire compression process and compression works were given and were compared with the experimental results. From that we could see it is very little difference between them and the model has the practicality supervising significance. Through the guidance of the above theory and more improved on the experimental stage, we will have a farther understanding about the wet compression, and some results may provide the technical reference to the application of wet compression technology.At last, the paper through the actual wet compression mathematical model worked out above, studied the simulation about the inlet cooling of a marine gas turbine. The performance of the gas turbine after adopting the technology is calculated in details.
