| The traveling crane control system is mainly used in the metallurgical industry, heavy machinery manufacturing and so on. It is a heavy machinery group that can load with vertical and horizontal movement. The main task of this system is lifting the load and moving it to the designated location. In order to ensure the rapid and accurate arrival, it is very important to control the platform which carry the load and put it in predetermined location without shocks , so the control system should accelerate and decelerate reposefully. AC motors are usually used in modern traveling crane control system, so the technology of AC speed regulation is also adopted widely.In this paper, the history and state-of-the-art of the AC speed regulation were reviewed, and a AC speed regulation control system used in traveling crane control system and a automatic control system based on PLC was presented.Firstly, the AC speed and voltage regulation principle, the static and dynamic performance about a AC speed and voltage regulation were in-depth researched, and the main circuit of this system was designed; Secondly, a AC speed regulation device was proposed , which used three pairs of thyristor connected in the three-phase AC source circuit along with motor stator winding, and the AC speed regulation was completed by controlling the thyristor operating angle with the trigger module designed by myself, which can trigger the thyrisors without using the impulse transformer in any hard situation, and the temperature drift and false triggering thyristors were solved completely, also the capability of the thyristors triggered is up to 2000A. Thirdly, two kinds of control methods were proposed , one was manual operation, the other was automatic control. The manual operation was implemented by drivers, who drived the traveling crane to complete the vertical and horizontal movement with the need of workshop; The automatic control system was based on PLC with a background of electroplating workshops, and the friendly interface was designed according to the technical flow. The reliability of the automatic control system was studied in this paper, especially the electric magnetic compatibility. Finally, in this paper, the AC speed regulation system was developed, which researched the intelligent control methods of the AC speed regulation, and the fuzzy control theory was applied in the second-generation AC speed regulation control system, which showed a very effective way to control the AC speed regulation in simulation.The traveling crane control system proposed in this paper was systemic tested, and the test of this system indicated that it possessed the character of stability, preciseness and reliability. |
