FRP package case fabricated by RTM process will be potentially applied due to its advantages such as light weight, excellent maneuverability, novel sealing property and good appearance, However the fine flammability and insulation property limit its applications in practice. The fabricating process of FRP package cases with outstanding flame-retardant and antistatic properties are investigated in this paper.Flame resistance agents (FRA), namely, LFR-UP, ATH and ATO, were added into the RTM resin to obtain uniform resin system with ideal flame-retardant property by optimized process. The oxygen index was used to determine the best ratio of the three FRAs by mathematical modeling and corresponding software. DSC-TG analysis was carried out to validate flame-retardant properties of different formulas, and the result agrees with the theoretical studies. The flame-retardant and mechanical properties of the FRP specimens with different FRA ratio were investigated. It is shown that the oxygen index of the resin with the ratio of 15wt% of the FRA reachs 28. The specimens are quenchable without any outer forces, however, the bending strength of the specimens decreases significantly. Based on the achievement above, the antistatic property of FRP specimens with JH and JHF antistatic agents was verified in the paper. The results indicate that the flame-retardant and antistatic properties can simultaneously meet the corresponding national standards when JH and JHF are added up to the 1wt% and 3wt%, respectively. While the use of antistatic agents make the bending property of the specimens even worse, compared with that of the normal specimens. In order to improve the mechanical properties of FRP, the coupling agent KH-570 is added to strength adhesive of surface of the reinforcements, the results indicate that the bending strength of the specimen reach to the original level and the impact property of the specimen is also improved.
