For ensuring security running of electric power communication network, the research on risk assessment of trunk circuitries is developed in this paper. The basic conceptions of security risk assessment for electric power communication network are established based on the basic theoretics of risk assessment and risk assessment system of information security. The methods of risk assessment for electric power communication network are advanced through deep research of typical risk assessment methods. Connected with actual circuits, assessment contents, assessment flow and the model of assistant software for risk assessment are confirmed. The three key taches that are risk identification, risk analysis and risk assessment are researched deeply according as the whole assessment flow. The risk values of example circuit is confirmed quantificationally at last. Based on theory research, use analytic hierarchy process as the method of risk analysis process. What is more, scientific evaluation of risk in electric power communication network is gained.
