Power system is developing towards high voltage, far distance, mass storage and the scale of the system is becoming larger and larger. The power grids are being developed, at the same time power system is experiencing the extending process, from provincial system to area system , from area system to national system, even transnational system. For the statement of China , the national system will greatly advance the resource optimization efficiency of the power system in fire and hydro power supplement, time difference in reaching the peak , trans-valley compensation ,reducing power system .However, the cost of power system construction and maintenance is high , the costly power system transshipment cost promote the form of solid working power system or maintaining leak relations with big power system of enterprises. Studying the performing character of these setting group and making them supply power as stably and safely as possible ,has practically meaning.The solid operating power system of Dongming Petrol Chemical Group is not sufficient in storage capacity and the nature of some technician .It is easily exposed to faults. The faults happened frequently, what puts forward great threatens to safety production and affects the economical efficiency of the Group. This paper studies the safety of power system by using the faults tree , finding out the main reasons provoking faults and the elements relevant to be implemented to avoid and reduce faults. Besides based on analysis results, it proposes the measures and technique scheme to improve the safety and reliability of our company's power system.Through the implementation of these measures and technique plans, the reliability and safety of our company' power system has been greatly improved, the average faults time is reduced from 5.996 to 2.821 one year.
