The High Viscosity Gear Pump is widely used in Petrochemical Industry, Textile Industry, etc. But, the absolute majority of them in our country depend on import. Analysis on market shows, with the development of these industries, the demand of the High Viscosity Gear Pump will greatly increase in the future.In order to change the situation that the High Viscosity Gear Pump depends on import, and to promote the technology progress in pump industry, Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering has researched and manufactured TGC2800 type Gear-pump from the localization. In this dissertation, based on characteristic test of TGC2800, the TGC Type High Viscosity Gear Pump is systematically researched ; According to the test data, the Serial Types of the TGC Type High Viscosity Gear Pump are constituted ; the type-choice software and design software of the TGC Type High Viscosity Gear Pump are made in Visual Basic-language. The main results are summarized as follows:1. Take the TGC2800 Type High Viscosity Gear Pump for prototype, firstly, the conveyance medium is divided into five different viscosity segments according to different temperature. Secondly, characteristic of the TGC2800 is tested. At last, the input shaft power, the capacity,the exhaust pressure and the rotate speed are recorded.2.
