The study on the design methodology of centrifugal ventilator with low loss, high load and good performance under full condition is one of the frontiers in the field of fluid machinery development.With the development of computer technology on Computational Fluid Dynamics, it is an effective measure to simulate the flow of fluid, at the same time, it provides more information inside the distribution of pressure and velocity, which also reduces the cost of test and saves the work.The airflow within a centrifugal fan is numerically simulated and analyzed on the FLUENT software. However, the FLUENT software doesn't provide optimization function. Now, a new kind of method which can link different softwares and make them work harmoniously has been developed. OPT1MUS is a software which is based on above idea. OPTIMUS can add power to CAD/CAE design. Optimization design of blade is completed by usingOPTIMUS flat. The efficiency of centrifugal fan is improved remarkably.In this paper, the variable is the shape of blade, the object is the efficiency of centrifugal fan. To find the optimum shape of blade, the algorithm of Seq.Quadratic.Prog is applied.Improve the centrifugal ventilator efficiency from 35% to 45% .The application to the machine optimization design and full 3D aerodynamic optimization design is valuable.
