Research On Sub-Culture Regeneration Of Jamaat In Metropolis

Recently on account of the quick development of city, many scholars have been interested in studying on Hui community in metropolis city. Jamaat,one kind of special community having nationality characteristics exists as a"sub-culture"in city in a way. The Jamaat communities frequently appear in many cities in China.Synthetically utilizing the System Theory, the Cultural Ecology Theory, the Humanities Protect Theory, the Nation Community Construction Theory, the Organic Renewal Theory and the Group Area Regeneration Theory, the thesis uses study methods of people gathering inhabitation and the environment of people residing and investigation study methods of nations mixing residence to discuss and dissert the city regeneration question of Jamaat. This is a new problem among the studies on the history street.The thesis firstly reviews the birth and development of Jamaat and analyzes the religion and folk-custom characteristics of the Muslem Hui Community. Taking the Niujie community of Hui Nationality in Beijing and the history street of drum-tower in Xi`an as case study, research through time and space dimensions. Concerns aspects of both social structure and urban spatial structure of Jamaat using the above-mentioned theories and investigation study methods.By using method of city planning, the thesis analyses Jamaat in the spatial environment of the whole city. Later based on the research on fore-and-aft situations of both reconstruction , investigates and expatiates the commonness of Hui Communities fore-and-aft reconstruction. Find the difficulty and the austere situation of Hui Communities as a double identity object (history street and danger houses reconstruction of village in the city) in the city regeneration.The thesis tries to use the principle of protecting and regenerating history street to primarily explore the Jamaat and put forward suggestions on factors of regeneration ways of reconstructing Hui Community.
