Sponsored by COSTIND space debris research devoted fund item-"Small Space Debris Evolutionary Mode Study (KJSP2001-0202/02)"and 863 project item-"Space Debris Environment Modeling and Analytical Applied Technology (2002AA732152)",this paper simply introduces SDEM(Space Debris Evolution Model) which was built up formerly; Then some overseas models which have been used before are compared with EVOLVE4.0 breakup model. Finally, some mitigation strategies are analyzed in the view of cost and technology.The main research contents of the dissertation are as follows:First, Evolutionary mechanism study is the base of space debris environment evolutionary mode modeling. After the analysis of space debris sources and components, various factors, which result in debris number increase or decrease, are investigated in detail. Based on the above, the panoramic chart of debris environmental evolutionary process is presented, and breakup model main part of evolution model is introduced later, which lays a foundation for modeling comparison later.Then, EVOLVE4.0 built up by NASA and some other models which have been used when SDEM is built up are analyzed. Explosion models, area to mass models and velocity models are compared and preliminary analytical results are brought out.Finally, mitigation strategies of prevention and disposal are introduced. Then some useful mitigation strategies are analyzed carefully in the view of cost and technique. Analytical results are brought out at last.
