Re-thinking And Investigation Of Urban Square Design In Contemporary China

From 1990s to nowadays,there stands an upsurge of square construction all over the country.City large-scale square is the core of open space and its construction upsurge obviously stands in the breach. While temporizing the tide,we should also face the problems hiding behind the tide and take some meditation.From meditating the design status of our country'S large-scale square and neatening,analyzing and summarizing large amount of examples and investigated data,this paper introspects on urban squares in contemporary China mainly from three aspects.Firstly,it analyses the develop process and the present state;secondlv.it pays attention to the questions of urban squares as public space;thirdly,it gives a preliminary discussion on its premise and trends in the future.Furthermore,the author outspreads the re-study in every chapters.The ultimate aim of the re-study is to provide some new ideas,new frames of reference and new methods for solving the realistic problems.The author hopes that the thesis could bring revelation in allusion to city large-scale square'S design.
