The proper sound propagation model is the basis of transfer function prediction of underwater acoustical channel. Ray model is one of the conventional sound propagation models, which can be used to model the sound propagation in the irregular ocean environment. Conventional ray method has to take along time to search eigenrays, Gaussian ray bundle (GRAB) model, a new method of modeling acoustic field is discussed in this dissertation, which calculates eigenrays and TL in very easy way and then has high compute speed. HARPO computes the paths of rays through a user-defined model of the ocean, given initial conditions that include the source location, wave frequency, direction of transmission, the receiver-surface model. This dissertation developed a set of software for predict the system function of underwater sound channel combined modified HARPO arithmetic and GRAB arithmetic. Database is used in this software, so it is easy to operate and manage. At last, some examples ware calculated in the dissertation and the result was analyzed, several advices were given for improving the arithmetic.
