Third harmonic excitation has already become a common excited means for synchronous generator at present. Yet, because the magnet field of triple harmonics is greatly affected by saturation of magnetic circuit, air gap, alveolus and pole shape, we are lack of accurate method to analyze and calculate triple harmonics excitation at present ,and can not master load property of harmonic excitation system . Therefore, this article analysizes the load property of harmonic excitation system deeply which is based on the calculation of electromagnetic field value. The research of this article brings forward a new opinion for analyzing the third harmonic excitation system and providing strong theory base and strong rational and practical design schemes for the design and the research of synchronous generator of third harmonic excitation.Firstly, this article introduces the calculating method of the load electromagnetic field on synchronous generator. Describe the way of imposing the current on the excitation winding and armature winding on synchronous generator, dealing with the condition of boundary, the calculation method for the flume of stator when the synchronous generator is loaded. Based on ANSYS command ways , the float chart of the load electromagnet field calculation procedure is developed.The basis datum of the sample is given.Secondly, this article introduces the software which based on ANSYS command ways of the load electromagnetic calculation and the software of winding voltage calculation. Two calculation methods which are named FFT method and tooth flux method are described for e. m. f of winding and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. According the two calculation methods, the first harmonic winding and harmonic winding load property curve are gained. And validate the result of calculation by the experiments.
