Under the circumstance of brushless,no exciter and no voltage regulator,to realizes the constant output of the terminal voltage.It has important application prospects and practical value of the hybrid excitation generator utilizing tooth harmonic for excitation.This paper studies around the automatic matching of load and excitation of the hybrid excitation generator utilizing tooth harmonic for excitation,and realizes the constant voltage output of the generator through the methods of design.The development history and research status of hybrid excitation synchronous generator and harmonic excitation generator is introduced.Aiming at the operation efficiency,reliability,air-gap magnetic field regulation ability of the generator,etc.The comparison and analysis of general the permanent magnet synchronous generator,the hybrid excitation synchronous generator and the tooth harmonic excitation excitation synchronous generator are carried out in detail.The basic principle of automatic constant voltage output for kinds of harmonic excitation synchronous generator is analyzed,and the essential difference of constant output is realized.Aiming at the hybrid excitation generator utilizing tooth harmonic for excitation,presents a realization of the compound characteristic based on the deviation of load air gap magnetic field.A finite element model of the machine is established based on this method,and the simulation verifies the feasibility of this method.This paper presents a method to determine the harmonic coil turns to realize the compound characteristic of the generator,which is convert the tooth harmonic exciting circuit into the DC circuit model,and then construct the equations of the tooth harmonic winding turns.Then solve the equations to determine the number of turns.Based on this method,a tooth harmonic excitation generator is developed,simulation and experiment were carried out.The results show that for the resistive load,the generator has a good constant voltage output characteristic within a certain load range.
