Parallel 6-DOF motion system (Stewart Platform) is an extremely crucial component of the flight simulator. Its basic principle is a equipment used in instantaneous overloading imitation, which offers the 6-DOF of pitching, rolling and turning, leeway, departing and landing, portrait and abeam translation controlled synchronous by computers .This article comments on the vital tec h nol ogy in t he de ve lopme nt o f the 6-DOF motion system of the flight simulator and the study results in this area by now. It figures out the theories and technological problems that needed to be solved and the feasible solutions to these problems while combining the practical experiences in designing and manufacturing the model machine. This article establishes a mathematical model of 6-DOF motion system with MATLAB as the emulating tool, makes dynamics analysis. Especially, aiming at the complexity of forward position, this article uses the method of solving backward position to solve the forward position. In addition, this article introduces the fidelity of motion simulation in detail. The arithmetic of movement control introduced in this article can provide a vivid sense of motion for the pilot, so as to provide a reliable reference for the moving system of the flight simulator.
